About Anne
Anne has had 50+ years of experience in Victorian secondary schools and private tutoring, demonstrating expertise in the teaching of English , EAL, and Literature at all levels.
She has also taught English Language, Integrated Studies, Geography, Religion, Drama and Literacy .
Anne has held various positions of leadership, including Head of English, Year Level Coordinator and Director of Professional Development. She has been a member of the Victorian Association for the Teaching of English (VATE) council and has presented workshops at many English conferences, both in Victoria and interstate.
She has presented lectures at VATE’s Year 12 Revision Days; has delivered classes in English Enrichment for Year 12 students at Copperfield College, St Albans Secondary College and Sunbury Downs College, and for many years, she was involved in a VCE Study Skills Program for Sydenham Libraries.
Anne Mitchell has been an assessor of the VCE English examination, the GAT and NAPLAN, and has run numerous workshops for English teachers and the broader school community.
In her spare time, Anne loves to:
